MEDAL OF HONOR: ALLIED ASSAULT

Game Review by: IGN
Date: January 18, 2002

"Medal of Honor is like a really fantastic movie. The only other game I've ever played that has as strong a cinematic style as this one is Crimson Skies. The levels are very natural and convincing and the missions are well scripted and have a great sense of pace. And all the character of the game comes through ... CLick Here to read more

"Medal of Honor represents the absolute best that action-packed, event-driven shooters have to offer. Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, the first PC installment of Electronic Arts' WWII-themed shooter series, is superb. However, if the realistic setting has led ... Click Here to read more

"Remember Raiders of the Lost Ark? If you can, try to imagine that Harrison Ford's Indiana Jones wasn't a fancy professor or archeologist, but instead a special infantry soldier serving his army during WWII. Now imagine a game surrounding his various adventures throughout wartime Europe -- an exciting retelling of his missions, retaining that same cinematic feel. That description pretty much sums up Medal Of Honor: Allied Assault. Far more than your average shooter,,,Click Here to read more

"Set during the most trying years of the war, 1942-1945, Medal of Honor Allied Assault gives players a sense of the courage it took to survive the landings at Normandy, the assault at Arzew, a rendezvous with the Resistance outside the village of St. Lo, and the push through the heavily defended border of Germany itself to take the bridge at Remagen....Click Here to read more

"Breakthrough puts you in the shoes of Sgt. John Baker as he fights his way through a variety of missions in Northern Africa up through Italy. Your fight through the Mediterranean will take you through eleven new historically accurate single-player levels, like Kasserine Pass in Tunisia and Monte Cassino in Italy. The game has quite a few new touches that make the game a fun and authentic experience....Click Here to read more

MEDAL OF HONOR: SPEARHEAD

Game Reviewed by: Game Spot
Date:November 11, 2002

"Spearhead begins with a scene that could have been taken straight out of Band of Brothers: It's D-Day, and you're on a transport plane that will soon drop you into Normandy. As explosions rock the aircraft, you stand up, perform an equipment check, and then take your turn jumping out of the plane. Once outside, you descend 3,000 feet through a chaotic sky full of other paratroopers, AA tracers, planes, and bursting shells, finally crashing through the roof of a barn crawling with Nazis. The entire episode is presented seamlessly, and it's one of the most impressive opening scenes ever created for a first-person shooter....Click Here to read more

"I've never jumped from a plane into a sea of bullets, death, and evil people, but I'd imagine Spearhead is about as accurate a portrayal of that sensation as we've yet seen in any game...tries to focus on the parts of Medal of Honor that gamers most fondly remember. Epic assaults, impending doom, urgency, immediacy, a sense of being overwhelmed, and camaraderie are all here. A small group of roughnecks, BARs in hand, will win the day.... "Spearhead contains 9 new single-player levels as well as 12 multiplayer maps and a new "Tug of War" multiplayer mode. The single-player maps are spread out over 3 short campaigns that shouldn't take long to play through. They are, however, fairly exciting and packed with many of the same things that made Medal Of Honor: Allied Assault so much fun....,a href="http://www.gamerankings.com/itemrankings/launchreview.asp?reviewid=93395> Click Here to read more

That's where the Airborne units of the U.S. Army and the British Army come into play, to parachute behind enemy lines to quickly take out vital targets to assure the success of the invasion....
